Dear South Coast BMW Riders Club Members,

Are you ready to fuel your passion for adventure? Buckle up because our May 2024 newsletter edition is revved up and ready to go!

Let’s kick things off with a recap of our recent thrilling rides:

April Adventures: Our April rides took us on unforgettable journeys, including an exhilarating trip to Tecopa Hot Springs. We conquered the open road, soaked in breathtaking views, and created lasting memories together. And let’s not forget about the ongoing excitement of the Southern California Piers Ride Challenge. Keep those wheels spinning and continue to explore the beauty of our coastal routes!

President’s Perspective: Ever wonder what happens when a BMW enthusiast hops on a Harley Davidson? Our very own club president recently did just that, riding a Harley to our BMW Club’s general meeting. Stay tuned in this month’s newsletter for the full story behind this unforgettable experience!

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. Get ready to mark your calendars for our upcoming rides:

      • MOA Rally: Join us for the ultimate BMW enthusiast gathering at the MOA Rally. Get ready to connect with fellow riders, explore new routes, and immerse yourself in the spirit of the BMW community.
      • Club Picnic: Let’s enjoy some good food and great company at our upcoming club picnic. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and share stories from our latest adventures.
      • Sierra Nevada: Prepare for breathtaking views and exhilarating rides as we venture into the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. Get ready to conquer twisty roads and discover hidden gems along the way.
      • Big Bear GM: Gear up for an epic ride to Big Bear for our general meeting. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a newbie, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this scenic destination.
      • 49er Rally: Don’t miss out on the excitement of the 49er Rally. Join us as we celebrate the rich history of motorcycling and enjoy a weekend filled with fun, camaraderie, and of course, plenty of riding!
      • New Website Introduction: We’ve been in the process of designing and building a new website to be hosted and managed by the MOA.  They currently manage about 50 other club websites and are thus able to make updates and security patches on a global basis.  We will still control the content of our site; the look and feel of it, and the information that is posted.  Although they charge a small fee, having them manage the backend licensing and processes relieves us of a large burden and, in the end, decreases our overall costs.

In the next couple of days, you will receive an email notification that the site is open, and inviting you to login.  You will need to sign up using an email and password.

We invite you to surf around, post comments in the Forum section, or comment using the embedded form.  Let us know what you think and how we can make things better.  Also, fill out your member profile, add a photo and short bio if you’d like.

Ready to fuel your sense of adventure? Mark your calendars and join us for our next general meeting, where we’ll dive deeper into our upcoming rides and weekend getaways. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect with fellow riders, share your stories, and sign up for your next unforgettable adventure!

Stay tuned for all this and more in our May 2024 newsletter edition. Let’s make this month one for the books!
